Dyazide is a triamterene and hydrochlorothiazide combination. Hydrochlorothiazide belongs to thiazide diuretic preventing the body from absorption of too much salt, which may lead to fluid retention.

1. Triamterene belongs to potassium-sparing diuretics as well and prevents the body from absorption of too much salt and doesn’t let the potassium level to reduce. Dyazide is also used for the treatment of edema and hypertension, as well as with some other aims not listed in that guide.
